Here
is a step by step Acid Stain application on a 43 year old
walkway. This is only a guide, always follow manufacturer’s
recommendations.
Colors
used from outside to inside: Espresso, Rusty Brown, Sahara
Tan, Evergreen.

After
a thorough clean up, measure and lay out your chalk lines. |

Saw-cut
using a diamond blade at a depth of 1/4”. We recommend
a 4” saw for small detail and corners, and a 7”
worm drive saw for the straight cuts.

Start
Acid staining using a small brush and spray bottle for the
bands, The rule of thumb is: small area = small brush and
spray bottle, the opposite for larger areas

Acid
Stain one section at a time, allow to completely dry before
second coat.
|

After
second application of Acid Stain is dry, neutralize with water
and baking soda, then rinse with clean water.
|

After
rinsing allow to dry and apply two coats of clear sealer.
And Voila!, you’ve just created a master piece.
